An architect is involved in all stages of construction and the process while maintaining close contact with the client, they must ensure that the plans and drawings they submitted and designed are correctly translated during construction. They must ensure that everything is done according to regulations, and that all required building permits have been obtained and are valid. They must consider environmental factors and have knowledge of electricity, building materials and building codes, as well as supervise the contractor during construction.
