Industrial design
An industrial designer is responsible for planning, developing, and designing products manufactured on a large scale, combining creativity, technology, and customer requirements. The role involves designing products and interfaces according to customer needs, creating engineering drawings for assemblies and products, and planning manufacturing processes such as milling, turning, welding, and finishing treatments. An industrial designer works closely with company clients to gather requirements and specifications, guiding production teams on the shop floor to implement mechanical and engineering designs. Additionally, the role focuses on enhancing the aesthetics, usability, and functionality of products while considering ergonomics, market demands, and environmental and economic factors.
