A youth counselor/guide engages in instructing, accompanying, and supporting young people and youth in various educational and social activities. The counselor helps youth cope with personal and social challenges, encourages the development of personal skills, and leads the group in programs designed for empowerment, values, and leadership. The counselor is responsible for organizing group activities (actions, trips, and various events) and conducting them. Additionally, the counselor can work in collaboration with parents, educational teams, and professional entities to provide support tailored to the personal needs of each boy and girl, while creating a safe and promoting environment. The role of a counselor exists in frameworks such as youth movements, community youth centers, boarding schools, at-risk youth programs, schools, summer camps, welfare frameworks, and additional educational frameworks.
