A Buyer is responsible for the procurement process within an organization, which includes placing orders, negotiating with suppliers and contractors, and generating relevant price quotes and reports. The role requires managing relationships with existing suppliers, identifying new suppliers, monitoring the supply process, and negotiating prices and delivery terms. The Buyer also tracks the procurement budget and ensures compliance with the organization’s requirements while optimizing costs. Strong skills in market analysis, understanding costs and trade terms, and the ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders are key for success in this role
